I started out console gaming when I was just a kid in the early 1990s. I got my first computer in 1999, my first custom computer in July 2005, and now I’m almost exclusively a PC gamer.Consoles/handhelds I have/used to have:
- Nintendo Entertainment System (parents sold it off)
- Super Nintendo Entertainment System
- Game Boy Colour
- Nintendo 64 (someone broke into my uncle’s house and stole it)
- Playstation 2
- Nintendo DS (belongs to my sister)
That’s it. I don’t have anything too special…. I’m not planning on getting any new consoles…I’d rather stick with my trusty PC. Besides, $600 could buy me a load of upgrades, no sense in wasting it on a whole new gaming system.
Computer gaming history
1999
I first started out gaming in 1999 with the Command and Conquer series. The next one was StarCraft.
2002
When Medal of Honor: Allied Assault came out in January 2002 I played that a lot, then joined a clan for it in November 2003.
2003
When Call of Duty came out in October 2003 the clan switched over. My computer was not able to play the game until I got a new one in July 2005. In the meantime I was stuck playing the old games such as StarCraft.
2005
The clan switched again, to Call of Duty 2 when it was released in October 2005.
2006
When Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45 was released in March 2006 I joined a clan for that, which disbanded shortly afterwards. I joined another one in June 2006.
Games that I play a lot currently:
- Armed Assault
- Operation Flashpoint
- Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45
- Counter-Strike: Source
