Internet Nicknames

A listing of all of the nicknames I obtained on the Internet, either self chosen or appointed.

007Chris
1999 – 2003
I first started using this name when my friend Nelson Lee showed me the game Runescape (I DO NOT play this game anymore) and had me create an account. I had no idea what name to choose so I asked him what his username was. It turned out to be 007Nelson, and he also had a friend 007Paul. So I chose 007Chris, obviously. This name followed me everywhere but of course, since it was not unique I had to make variations. It can still be seen in use in my hotmail account chrislee_007. I don’t remember any accounts anywhere that I made that long ago, hotmail is the only one I still use that resembles this name.

BirdDog
November 2003 – April 2004
When I joined the clan 56th Canadian Legion, a Medal of Honor: Allied Assault clan, I searched for a name different than 007Chris. I heard this name being used as a codename for in the movie “Bat*21”. I liked it because it could mean I’m quiet as a bird, ferocious as a dog…or something like that.

ShadoDragon56
August 12, 2004 – December 10, 2005
I was thinking of a new name for my StarCraft account when I joined a clan for it. I wanted Dragon in my name. I thought of the many different types of Dragon but finally I chose the Shadow Dragon. It wasn’t unique. I added 56 to the end of the name in homage to the 56th Canadian Legion, and removed the “w” because of the character limit. I also ended renaming my GameSpot account to this. To this day it remains with that name.

Lee
April 2004 – December 10, 2005
I ended up ditching the BirdDog name for my last name. I wanted a more realistic military feel. This way everyone would call me by my last name.

Leedeth
December 10, 2005 – Current
I am changing my name to Leedeth.

I do this because the name “Lee” is not unique and I saw many people using it. But I did want to keep my last name in the name so I added “deth” to the end. I chose “deth” because it ends with “th” which all Pern Dragon names end with, and because of its abbreviation of “death” without the “a”. I chose the word “death” in relation to my dedication to violent video games (In FPS, there is nonstop slaughter).

Also, “Lee” is my real last name. It is pronounced “lee” in English, and “lay” or “ley” in Chinese. “Lee” in English definition also means “cover or shelter”.

“Leedeth” together is pronounced “lay-death” and can mean to cause death on the virtual battlefield. It can also be pronounced “lee-death”. My short nickname would be “Lee”.

I also chose this name because “Lee” is not unique. I need a unique name so that when people hear it they know it is me and me alone.

There are many more meaning to this name. It can also mean “I’ll keep you safe from death”.

I am currently using this name everywhere.

Jaeger
March 30, 2006 – August 24, 2006
This is a German surname. It means “hunter/huntsman”. I chose it to relate to the battlefield. Following is the dictionary meaning: . I chose it because a German tactical realism clan I joined requires that everyone use a Germanic name. I will continue to use it for as long as I am a member of that clan.

I am currently using this name only in that clan, and on certain forums such as those related to Red Orchestra: Ostfront 41-45.

Lietzke
August 24, 2006 – Current
I don’t like the name Jaeger anymore, since I have seen many people using that name in game.

Lietzke – Coat of Arms
