I would be very interested in hearing further updates on what you are doing with your car, I to as of july 1st bought the same exact car engine and all, for 300 dollers, lucky me! the interior was completely gutted, and there are some defects and alterations that make no sense but it is a work in progress. Are you going to drop a v6 into it? I was thinking about goin with the probe v6 high output engine.

300? I’m jealous. Though at that price I’m sure there’s a lot of work to be done.

Have you found this website yet? http://www.mx-3.com/ It’s great that there’s such a comprehensive reference site for this car. If you look through the forums, it’ll say that switching an I4 to a V6 is not recommended because there’s a lot more changes to be done, and also a lot more variables and such to go wrong.

I’m not sure what I’m going to do to it yet. I’m still catching up with all the broken parts. I need to get an oil leak fixed, timing belt checked, front wipers replaced, and I just found out yesterday that the rear defroster doesn’t work! I definitely can’t afford an engine swap right now anyway, both financially and time-wise, since this car is my daily driver.

I was thinking RX-3 until I saw the picture… oops, that would be a totally different creature altogether. Interesting and informative site. BTW, I am also a snake, but a couple cycles before you.
